I met Billy a few years back on tour with Ghost. His infectious spirit is something I always remember. Always laughing and having a great time. We have continued to be friends all these years. This past year we had a chance to catch up. We both shared stories of recovery and close encounters with death. So glad to call Giddy a friend.

Tell me a story that shaped your life…

- When I was 16 years old my Dad had a heart attack, he was an over the road truck driver. I had to go on home study school so go on the road and help him. From that moment on I knew what it was like to be a man, to take things from myself so I could to take care of someone I loved.

Tell me a story that almost ruined your life…

- I was having really bad back pains, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t sit, I just wasn’t feeling right. My wife, who turned out to be my savior, forced me to go to the hospital where I found out I was having a widow maker heart attack. Had she not taking a stand against me not wanting to go to the hospital I would not be her right now.

Tell me a story that enriched your life…

- After my heart event I ended up sitting in a hotel room in Bakersfield at 1:00am with 2 dear friends who let me know that my new sober and healthy life was going to be okay. I don’t know if they know it but their words and encouragement are something I carry with me everyday.

Tell me a story that enriched another life…

- I met a kid outside of a Starbucks, he was clearly homeless and had no shoes. My wife works in the clothing industry so I had some shoes and a hoodie in my car I was able to give him.  I saw him a few more times, he appeared to be getting his life together and I was really happy to see that, sometimes all people need is someone to show them some kindness to make their life better.

Tell me a story of crazy life…

- On one of my birthdays we were celebrating at a Jager show where Korn was playing. A few of the guys in the band found out it was my birthday and we had way too many drinks. I ended up getting my entire party thrown out of the VIP section of the show due to excessive vomiting on the floor. But wait, it doesn’t stop there. After making our way to the parking lot I decided it would be really fun to jump on the a hood of a brand new Mustang (it’s still had the paper plates in the window ) leaving a large dent and then puking all over the side of the car. Looking back on that night, it makes me think that I’m glad I got older and sort of grew up. Tell me a story of life…

- When I think about life stories, I think about spending time with people who care about me and people I care about. Surround yourself with good people, stay positive, and you’re gonna have a really happy life.  I always felt the quote from John Lennon about life was perfect.  "When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life." What would you want the world to know about you…
