x

I met Atalya earlier this year as we both worked aboard the Norwegian Pearl.

We spoke quite a few times in passing and I could just feel an awesome energy.

Atalya is always smiling and quick to a laugh.

The positive energy she brings even in short interactions is truly wonderful.

Tell me a story that shaped your life…

- I graduated from professional dance college in 2017 with not a clue on which way I wanted to go with my tricks and talent! I did a few incredible jobs such as dance for Rak Su on the X Factor Finals & perform on a west end stage but by far the job that has changed my life for the better, was my 6 months on the Norwegian Pearl! The people I met & the places I saw are memories that have sculpted me into the person I am right now! Some of my best friends live in all different countries & I feel blessed to have shared these experiences with them!

Tell me a story that almost ruined your life…

- A little somber but here we go! When I was 13 my parents decided to part ways, there was never a single ounce of hurt or despise between them but they simply fell out of love. My dad was/is a recovering alcoholic & drug abuser who was constantly in & out of rehab since I was 7.

When they divorced, things got a little messy & my dad ended up trying to take the lives of my mum, my sister & myself in a multitude of scenarios. This really affected me later in life as I tried to push a lot of these memories to the back of my head as opposed to facing them head on but they came to sabotage me in around 2015 at the ripe old age of 17! I went into a deep, scary depression which resulted in a lot of sleepless nights crying into my pillow & therapy appointments but I’m very proud to say that I did/and have come out the other side stronger!

Tell me a story that enriched your life…

- When I was 12, I auditioned for a brand new mainstream TV show for kids that was being broadcasted in the UK. I originally auditioned for the role of a girl named “Frankie”. She was the protagonist & kind hearted girl of the group. I kept being called in & called in & eventually got down to the finals for the role. I received a phone call a few weeks later to say that I unfortunately hadn’t been cast but to keep my summer free as they had something else planned.

I later found out that the writers had written a new character into the show for me to play as they believed I brought something to the cast!! So little 12 year old Tally ended up playing “Flora” the badass gang leader that didn’t take crap from anyone AHAHAHA! If you’ve met me, you know that’s totally true as well ;)! I met so many incredible people during my time on set & it really sparked my love for the arts that I have now!
